Samantha is a design researcher and strategist creating experiences that move humans, businesses, and technology towards mutually beneficial futures. In her current role as an award-winning design researcher at IBM Research, Samantha creates user experiences that make generative AI technology useful, usable, and ethical.
She is an established thought leader with 14 years of experience and deep expertise in generative AI, qualitative research methods, and rapid iterative research. Her writing has been published by Scientific American, Bloomsbury Academic, and Smashing Magazine. She sits on the board of directors for Creature Conserve and co-created the Designer's Oath. She holds a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. Outside of the lab, Samantha is a naturalist with a love for weird invertebrates.
